Food & Libation

...the food is fresh, home made and uses local ingredients whenever possible

The chef is Scottish, the food is fresh, home made and uses local ingredients whenever possible;  Girona beef, Pyrenean trout, Emporda corn fed chicken, fesols del vall (beans), farro (maize flour) and fajol (buckwheat).  From Catalonia's 'Mar i Muntanya' (the original 'surf & turf') to lemon meringue pie a fixed 3 course dinner menu (24€) that changes on a daily basis is offered along with a small selection of Catalan wines.  And why not complete your dinner with a single malt whisky or Goretti's homemade ratafia, a local digestif.

Whisky and a Bar menus are also available.

Breakfast can be catalan, continental or cooked.  The buffet of artisan cheeses made by our neighbours, embotits (cured and cooked meats) from Miquel our butcher and La Rectoria baked 'Pa de Pessic' (genoise sponge) is offered along with squeezed orange juice, freshly ground coffee, tea, toast and homemade jams.  There is always the option of choosing from our supplementary 'egg menu' that includes the option of a steaming hot bowl of porridge oats served with nuts and honey.

Picnics can be prepared on request
